This is the first in my "Pixels on buildings" series. Zelda: [link] Metriod: [link] A super fun photoshop project I did. I didn't paste them from a JPEG. I painted them on the building using the brush tool in Photoshop cs6. Stock: [link]
They should so do that in real life to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros or something, and judging from this work, hire you to be their actual artist.
It is without a doubt very fascinating and wonderful work, and a great tribute to arguably the most iconic video game character in existence today.
If by any chance he eats one of those mushrooms, you might have to re-design him on the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world... (Good thing it's a coin this time around. )
What else is there to say besides the fact this is downright awesome? I believe if it ever happened, it's the sort of thing you could display to gaming sites like Gamespot, ScrewAttack and IGN because it's worthy of such attention. For digital works of such quality, it's going in my favourites at least... an absolutely splendid job and a worthy addition to my collection.
It's an absolute pleasure, seriously. Hey, I personally reckon if there was a way to contact Charles Martinet (the voice of Mario) and hand him one of those pictures to sign, he'd gladly do it.
Truly is wonderful work, and I mean every word of it.
